The Canon EOS M200 has a Canon Digic 8 processor, with a new sensor APS-C offering 24.1MP . The image processor comes with a maximum video frame rate of 30fps with a 1.6x crop factor. Users can also record 4x slow-motion videos up to 120fps in HD mode. The camera can shoot pictures in lowlight conditions with a maximum ISO of 25,600. The LCD monitor at the back is of 3-inches in size. Over that, this mirrorless camera also has dual pixel CMOS autofocus. Speaking at the launch, Mr Kazutada Kobayashi, President and CEO, Canon India said, “With the advent of social media, we aim to capture the interest of the millennials in the joy of photography through our range of products, uniquely customized for them.“ He also spoke about how, through the EOS M200, future photographers are enabled to expand their horizons and shift from smartphone to camera-based photography. Some of the features of the EOS M200 are that it has an advanced 24.1MP sensor, along with Canon’s very own DIGIC 8 image processor. This allows users to capture high resolution images and videos. The EOS M200 can capture 4K videos and quality time lapse videos. Keeping in mind that most social content is viewed on a smartphone, the camera allows content creators to shoot with vertical orientation in a bid to become social media friendly. This enables the device to capture, process and deliver videos tailored for social media platforms. Also, the advanced Eye detection ensures focus and tracks moving subjects to ensure content blurring doesn’t happen. Again, this feature will help content creators who capture people and their movements. The EOS M200 allows seamless connection to smart devices through the Canon Camera Connect app. It also offers Bluetooth connectivity, which facilitates a permanent connection at minimal battery use, as the company claims. The camera comes in premium matte black finish with a three-mode dial on top to provide quick access to various functions and modes. The Canon EOS M200 is priced at Rs 43,995 for the camera device.
