Yes, Apple is planning to launch a 13-inch MacBook Pro laptop in the first half of 2020. According to a report by MacRumours, the laptop will come with a 13-inch display along with an upgraded scissor-switch keyboard. The company earlier this month also launched 16-inch MacBook Pro, which also comes with a similar keyboard. The reports also suggest that although 13-inch is the standard display size, the company might offer the upgraded version of the 13-inch MacBook Pro model in a larger 14-inch display. Wistron and Global Lighting Technologies might supply the keyboards for the smaller notebook. With the launch of a 16-inch MacBook Pro, Apple this time switched to the scissor-switch keyboard, which is based on Magic Keyboard for the iMac. Whereas the existing MacBook Pro and MacBook Air laptops feature the company’s butterfly keyboard that has been largely criticised. “It would be hardly surprising if Apple completely moves past its butterfly keyboards, which have suffered from issues with sticky, repeating, or non-functional keys since their inception in 2016. Apple continues to offer free repairs to affected customers as part of its worldwide service program,” says the report. This time we hope to see the 13-inch MacBook Pro laptop to come with slimmer bezels similar to 16-inch MacBook Pro.
